Amp 24 graphics cards and two 17 Amp 12 V?
I have a 9800GTX + which needs 24 amps off the 12v rail that connects. I just received experienced a power source that has 2 rails 12V operating at 17 amps each. The power supply also comes with a PCI-E 6-pin connector, but the 9800GTX + requires two, so I filled one with a 6-pin connector, two 4-pin molex to 6 pin adapter. Then my question is, will the two channels 17 amps be sufficient to supply the GPU, and how can I make sure I have the two tracks related to the GPU, not only one rail. (The molex are on the same string, but the pin 6 is on a different channel, if that helps). thank you
