The Army reservist killed by police after a draw. Leonardtown, MD, a man who authorities believe was an Army reservist just called to serve in Iraq was shot dead by police in a confrontation which began at Christmas. St. Mary's County Sheriff Tim Cameron said, 28 years, James Emerick Dean in the army, was killed Tuesday afternoon when a Deputy Sheriff. The sheriff said Dean had pointed his gun at a tactical team that use gas to try to force him out of the house of his father. The military does not want to return to Iraq. He served in Iraq in 2005. The family told authorities that Dean was discouraged by the orders of the last to go to Iraq. Dean had returned in 2005, a year and a half long tour in Afghanistan.
