Ammunition for hunting (Corelokt) 8 mm ammunition is not loaded correctly in Turkey 98 Mauser.?
I got a 98 8mm Mauser Turkish and I would use hunting deer. The surplus ammunition, I tried very much the progress of the magazine to push the bolt forward. The shorter-Blunt nosed FMJ No. 8 mm rounds (Remington Corelokt) blocked or severely notched against the front of the magazine. I pull no speed, but It would be nice to get more than one shot without sticking their fingers in the magazine (especially with gloves during deer season) or, without damaging the tip of the ball. Has anyone else run into this? I wonder if the magazine spring is weak or if the magazine cover can be changed by a dealer or, if ammunition where the best approximate the FMJ round. Being I am a military rifle and its use, because it was not intended, but would like some information if anyone has encountered this.
